Marianne Ortiz, Account Executive

Marianne Ortiz joined Abel Communications in 2009, with several years of public relations and communications experience. She has worked for PR agencies of all sizes including Edelman, Merritt Group and Boscobel Marketing Communications. Marianne is a great multitasker and brings a vast knowledge of social media, as well as, event planning to offer clients a full-service approach to public relations.

At Edelman’s Washington, DC office, Marianne was a part of the technology practice, later moving on to work with the agency's largest client, American Petroleum Institute (API). For API, Marianne pitched national stories, organized educational events and planned a nationwide speaking tour for the CEOs of America's largest oil and natural gas companies. In her most recent position as an Account Executive at Merritt Group, Inc., Marianne ran PR and media relations programs for leading technology providers in the B2B, B2C and B2G spaces.

Marianne graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, with dual degrees in Communication and Women's Studies.
