Sitting on the iconic Baltimore corner of Charles and North Ave, The Parkway Theatre holds over 100 years of cinematic history. When the Maryland Film Festival purchased the building with the intention to transform the theatre into their year-round space, they faced the challenge of concisely explaining their decision to rescue instead of restore the building. Abel Communications developed a messaging strategy, created a documentary style video and launched a media relations campaign around the topic to help communicate MDFF’s vision while shining light on a historic 19th Maryland Film Festival.
