Last evening, our fearless leader was honored as one of Maryland’s 2019 Most Admired CEOs by The Daily Record.
The awards dinner, held at the BWI Hilton, brought together nearly 200 business leaders to network and recognize talented CEOs and nonprofit executive directors throughout Maryland for their leadership and vision. Winners were selected based on professional accomplishments, community service, and letters of recommendation submitted by co-workers, board members, and community leaders.
Greg joined leaders including Al Hutchinson of Visit Baltimore, Milton Matthews of Columbia Association and — client alert! — Jay Steinmetz of Barcoding in being recognized this year. With colleagues and his parents joining Greg at the event, it was a night of celebration and smiles.
“I am extremely grateful to the Daily Record for the opportunity to be recognized among such an impressive group of leaders,” Greg said. “Most importantly, I want to thank my colleagues at Abel Communications for nominating me and supporting my leadership journey. It’s a humbling and rewarding honor and it’s my goal to live up to the title of a Most Admired CEO.”
Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of the Daily Record handed out the awards last night and had this to say about the honorees, “This year’s Most Admired CEOs demonstrate that leadership matters to the quality of our day-to-day lives. Many people are promoted into leadership roles, but only some people have the emotional intelligence, focus, drive and compassion to become an admired leader.”
Greg founded Abel Communications in 2005 as a solo practice. Today, he leads 15+ professionals working with top brands like Lyft, BrightFarms, UnitedHealthcare of the Mid-Atlantic, STX, and Loyola University Maryland.
“As Abel Communications has grown, it has been Greg’s priority to maintain a positive and supportive culture,” said Gina Richmond, Senior Vice President. “Greg is committed to nurturing an uncommonly great, high performing workplace, and this award is a result of that dedication.”
